It’s a different City, says Owen
FORMER Blue and well-known City pundit Gary Owen has given Stuart Pearce and the new regime the thumbs up.
Gary believes the win over Sunderland in mid-week was the type of game City could have lost in the recent past. He said:
If you go back through the years, if City ever came up against a side who had not won for a long period of time - or a striker who had not scored for ages - you could guarantee they would be the club to break the sequence.
I think we can all recognise that little character trait of the Blues, I remember Michael Own breaking a long barren spell with a goal in the first ten minutes at Maine Road a few years ago.
There have been a fair few teams who have visited the COMS in the last couple of seasons played poorly but still taken points away. It's good to see City doing the same away from home for a change!
