Robbie the misunderstood

ONE of the things I’d really love to see is Robbie Fowler getting a few games under his belt and giving plenty of possibilities to Stuart Pearce.

If we have the option to pick two out of Fowler, Cole and Vassell with the other on the bench ready to change it then we could see some fireworks.

And having read an in-depth interview in The Observer featuring Robbie Fowler you can see that the guy still has that bit extra, which could prove valuable to City. He says:

It strikes me that these days, clubs don't even want players who can truly play any more; they just want athletes, quick guys who don't have a football brain, can just run and run.

And Fowler says coming in the top three of the City supporter’s player-of-the-season awards is one of his proudest moments in football.
