Trautmann at book signings

MANCHESTER City legend Bert Trautmann is set to take part in a number of book signings marking the updating of his biography.

Trautmann: The Biography by Alan Rowlands has been updated after the big man’s recent award of an OBE and the setting up of the Trautmann Foundation.

He will be at WH Smith in Stockport on September 16 from 12pm. On Saturday, September 17 he will be signing copies in the Manchester City FC Club Shop from 10.30am and will then be in the WH Smith in the Trafford Centre from 2pm.

On Sunday Bert will be at the match against Bolton but prior to that he will be in Mary D's pub (300 yards from the ground) from 11.15am signing copies of the book.

The book is his complete story and was written with Trautmann’s cooperation taking in his time as a child in Germany, the war years and how he established himself as one of the world’s most famous footballers.
