Stephen Ireland set to sign two year deal

STEPHEN Ireland has verbally agreed to a new two-year contract with the Blues and is expected to sign the deal in the near future.

The 19-year-old has really impressed in the past few weeks considering he has only played a handful of Premiership games.

He has given the Blues something different in the middle of the park with some great passing and yet he is not afraid to get stuck in.

UPDATE:  Stephen Ireland's contract has been extended until 2009 with the Blues obviously keen to keep the talented teenager at the club.
