Macken’s disappointment

FORMER City striker Jon Macken is featured in an interview on the Professional Footballers’ Association website about his move to Crystal Palace.

Macken never really found his feet at City and it is interesting to note that he felt things were beginning to look up, as he was shown the door by Pearce. He said:

I was very disappointed to be told by Stuart Pearce I would not figure highly in his plans for City next season.

SWP the world beater

SO what is to become of Shaun Wright Phillips? Well Stuart Pearce wishes him all the best but if things don’t work out the door is open at City.

He tells the Guardian newspaper in a special that looks at all the transfer moves this season that SWP is sure to become a player of world renown.

Now wouldn’t it be great if he went on to become a Ronaldinho type player, earning his money abroad, so you could hark back and say ‘I remember when…’.
